In London, you will definitely want lights and clothes with high viz bits - they don't need to be yellow

And speed in London traffic that requires aero clothing...?

right now im not because i don't own a bike but im gonna start beaning one because im sick of london traffic

Well aerodynamic clothing is last on your list then.

Get the bike and start getting fitter, then buy as you need. Full lycra isnt really going to help you.

There are many on this forum who can ride 100 miles + wearing a donkey jacket and steel toecaps.

im planning to use it for commuting and its not gonna be short distances 6 mile each way and if im averaging 15-20 mph (im quite a fast runner so that may feedback into how fast i will ride) im gonna be chaving so much plus if im wearing normal clothes that will slow me down a few mph too

Be lucky to do anything like that commuting in London in traffic. 12 more realistic if you actually bother to stop at traffic lights (unlike many London cyclists). A waterproof jacket and lights only needed now plus a helmet if you want to wear one

i have thought about this the reason i want to get bike clothes because when i was test riding the bike it wasn't comfortable in jeans and there are few thing im gonna need thats one reason why thinking of waiting

Anything with a heavy seam that runs under your and bum is a pain, but plenty of clothes that dont cost big money dont have one there.

im not like most cyclists and i defo need a helmet

I do most of my winter riding in Ron Hill running tights (sometimes with padded shorts underneath). If you are a runner, you should have plenty of suitable kit, unless you only wear tiny, revealing shorts.

Oh, and 6 miles is not a long way. ~=2 miles walking/running.

Lol where in London, that much was obvious (or home to work)...trying to assess the sort of traffic you'll encounter
