struggle to face them but if put in bubble & trump or home soups/broth then no issue .

anyway ging back to OP re wind just had daughters window blow open (not sure how) and its knocked loads of stuff of her windowshelf which has in turn destroyed Sylvania (Bears) land under her bed due to it all landing under the bed , what a calamity

I must admit it is still howling. The house faces SSW and the wind is Southerly, and as I was going to bed I could hear the noise as it blew across some kind of pipework outside (soil pipe or overflow I guess).

Laying in a warm bed and listening to the wind whistling outside is one of life's better and more comforting experiences!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even better, to be curled up on a sofa, drinking tea and eating toast listening to the wind howling and the rain lashing the windows.

There's been no snow here this winter, and hardly more than a couple of frosts - just lots of water so the only thing I'm in danger of is of is growing gills!!!;)
