you actually want the Assos Lycra Corset, it's not part of the performance range as breathing is nigh on impossible, let alone riding. But you look much better for the 10 minutes you can last wearing it.
I think he may be right. I often ride a cheapy MTB. Non racers always say hello. About 99% of racers ignore me, odd ones have been known to shout abuse.
It's probably the impression you give. I got/get recognition on flat bar bikes but then again I've got all the gear on most of the time so look like a racer on a flat bar (they thing I'm training maybe?)
In general I've found that 90% of cyclists on road bikes say hello no matter what bike I'm on (flats or drops). Of late however, those with flat bars tend to ignore me if I'm on a drop bar bike. Is there some sort of reverse phycology
