If you are mainly on road then th eNeon will be be great, the lithium is mor doff road focused hybrid, although both will do both. I've been, unintentionally, down a footpath across a field and through woods on a drop bar touring bike on 28mm tyres, with no problems, you'll be fine on a bit of rough pavement.

I took my road bike down a grass embankment and some small steps- it survived. We get too hung up about different bikes for different uses........ Says he who has 4 :-(

For an all round commuter I'd always look for ability to take mudguards, rear rack and decent sized tyres, minimum 32mm but preferably bigger. I started commuting on a lighter hybrid that was very much road orientated but my commute included some rough stuff. I ended up switching to a heavier steel framed bike and used M+ 700x35 tyres, allegedly as slow as pedalling through treacle. It didn't feel like that to me it felt a lot comfier and I didn't feel so beat up, the commute was a 40 mile round trip. I was able to average 16mph on my 35kg steel workhorse and I'm a very average cyclist.

35kg or 35lb ? 35kg is pedal powered road roller territory, but good points on mudguards rack and tyres.
