We have a pub in the Green King chain close to us, we used to go virtually every other Sunday for their Breakfast Buffet, we would have their small buffet with the free tea & coffee, £11.98 for us both, we'd then go do a bit of shopping as soon as the shops open at 10am.

They have now revised the pricing, they no longer do 2 sizes of buffet there is only 1, the free teas & coffees are now £1.99 each, the new revised pricing makes it £17.96 for exactly the same thing.

We're only going once a month now, until we can find an alternative.

Had to cut back to only monthly visits to L'Enclume now its reached £250 a head.

We went there in March but I was disappointed with it. Had to fill up on crisps at a nearby pub afterwards and left wondering what it was I'd actually paid through the nose for.

Lack of options meant we ended up in Burger King this week. Around £8 now for a meal, quite a bit more than McD. Drinks weren't far off pub prices.

I used to like a bacon double cheeseburger, but it's been a few years now since I've had one because of the way they've increased their prices.

If you download the app then they have some good offers, keeps the meal price below £5 or £9 for two, though not all the burgers have an offer.

I would love to report all these fast food places to trading standards, the adverts show huge portions with fillings comeing out of the large buns, then you open your package & wonder WTF!

I've found BK to be still honest, the Whopper is still a lot of burger especially on an offer.

McDonalds though I really only get their breakfast buns now, a Big Mac just seems tiny and the chips are awful. You can add free toppings to some of the burgers so that can help.

Not a price problem as such though but the number of delivery orders they now make just slows down anyone queuing inside for their food, drive through can be still ok*

* Last trip to BK though had a 20 min delay in drive through as they had a £160 order! Never seen that before.

You've just reminded me of another reason that I stopped going to Burger King, the fact that you only get about ten chips in a bag.

Have you been to KFC recently, we went in twice about 3 months ago, first time we just thought it was the server, went to a different one a week later exactly the same.

I've noticed that, not spent my own money on one for a while though as I get them on my work expenses.

Last one was a large two piece variety with a pot of gravy for £8.49, they charged something daft like 90p to go large. 😯

To be fair my Big Mac the other night had the requisite two burgers and so much salad and mayo in it that it was a complete nightmare to handle - the Large Fries were also overflowing.

Compared to the images on the advertisement where they are having to use both hands to hold it?

A local estate agency has just posted a video on FB boasting about how the cost of renting locally has increased by 17.5% in recent years. I'm lucky in so much that my landlady sets her rent at an affordable level so I'm OK for the time being, but when that comes to an end I'll probably be looking at paying way more than half my monthly wage on rent alone...
