Alyssa Bonagura was in great form in the Forge at the Basingstoke Anvil last night.

Support from Oli Higginson was pretty good too.

Last Wednesday. Uriah Heep at the London Palladium. Absolutely brilliant. I first saw them in 1982 at Donnington Monsters Of Rock, they impressed me then and have impressed me the many other times I've seen them since.

Are you a roadie.🤔

No - just someone who likes live music and has retired which gives me the time to enjoy a night away.

Edit - to avoid confusion, the upcoming ELMS at Silverstone is a motorsport event but I've added it to my gig list to avoid double booking myself.

Back in the 70s I lived in Withernsea, a sleepy seaside village on the East Coast of Yorkshire. We had a great dance hall called the Grand Pavillion. It was the testing ground for up and coming start. When you realise what these start achieved, it makes you wonder how they arrived in Withernsea. They included, Slade, Mud, T Rex, Alvin Stardust, Gary Glitter. Bay City Rollers, Sweet, Suzi Quatro, Iron Maiden, The Beat and many more.

I later got to see Queen, The Eagles, Meatloaf, Joan Armatrading, Michael Jackson, Genesis, Guns n Roses.

The artists come and go so quickly now that There is nobody I really would go out of the way to see.
