Which dacron is it. There is a huge range of dacron cloths. What grade of dacron is it?
We have class rules for our racing sails. A bit bigger than yours. Obviously![]()
And I thought it was only Patrick Moore who rode a bike. Here's my favourite 'gadget' - my 8" Dobsonian telescope cooling down ready for the night sky. View attachment 431543
Whatever you get it wont be as fast as my last (and only) motorcycle.Oh yeah. I plan to get another motorcycle in Spring. Not sure that counts for this thread and It may yet fade as sobriety set in over winter.
Ah, the good old fanny Barnet
We were in Newark yesterday, & I saw this in Access Models, on CastleGate (formerly part of the 'Great North Road')

Senior Management wasn't amenable to a purchase, so had to satisfy myself with buying a few N-Gauge bits for the layout, that the father-in-law has in our basement
She wouldn't even let me buy the 1/18th scale AC Cobra that was also in the window (still one of the most desirable cars in the World, to me)

My cousin briefly owned a yacht. He said it was like standing in a cold shower tearing up £50 notes. This from a guy with the sea in his blood, he was a Chief Engineer in the merchant navy!
It's a well known saying in yachting circles.
The other one is " The two best days of Yacht ownership are the day you buy it and the day you sell it"
(Ex multiple small boat owner, ex Yacht owner, been in the shipping business since I left school over 40 years ago, and even if I win the lottery tonight, I wont be buying getting another yacht, but I might charter one. I'll be able to afford to pay someone else to have the owning problems.)
