I watched Quartet last night, SWMBO bought the DVD. All I can say is Sloooooooow. I like a good story but this just seemed to me Billy Connolly wandering around aimlessly making silly remarks. When it got to the big finale of the film where they were all supposed to sing the camera cut away and the credits rolled! SWMBO fell asleep halfway through, but I persevered and must say there was some lovely music in it.

Actually not too bad a film, and I'm not great fan of Mr Cruise generally.

..... but this evening - Throne of Blood - Kurosawa's retelling of Macneth, with Toshiron Mifune as leading man. Now that's a Samurai film !
Perhaps not the great pair's very best, but a superior film for all that.
