I can’t stand it when “people” are referred to as “folk” or “children” are called “youngsters”

I like to annoy people by referring to them as "peeps", unless they're not yet adults; in which case they can be "kids".

It annoys me too, weirdly.

I went to a Grammar school , so I speak proper ,innit tho'
Yes I did attend Southchurch hall grammar, but it was really more of a technical school majoring in the trades , rather than 'learning to talk proper'

"There's another mouse in the house".
One recently went behind the fridge. When i hauled the fridge out, i found a family of THREE mice living in the condensate tray!


Actually, worse than that was my wife returning home to find a live frog in the hall, and the cats being really weird in the dining room; because the rabbit they'd been playing with was now dead behind the curtains.
Stressed wife had to put down our youngest somewhere safe, then deal with live frog, by which time the cats and dead rabbit had mysteriously vanished. Never did work out where it went!
