In my case , it is : " It is what it is". I cringe every time I hear it. I absolutely detest it

Read the title and was just about to write the exact same expression 😂

Same here (English is my third language), that expression sounds so dejected!
But that's not my most disliked, which is "we/I don't do this/that anymore"
No explanation no nothing, leaves one with lots of questions better not asked

I suppose it's cringy if you actually live in Cumbernauld

Or in Fife 🙄

Any double negative, e.g. 'we don't need no education'.

God, I absolutely despise that Pink Floyd song, never mind the expression itself

Yet people rave about that $hitty album, too - Although not a Floyd fan, I did buy "Wish You Were Here" & "Dark Side..." (1970's)

Changing subject

My other mates would say "Good Advantage" - Like there's no such thing as a 'Bad Advantage' right ?

Incorrectly saying "myself" instead of "me" or "yourself" I instead of "you".

OK hate is too strong a word. The first time I came across is it was use by a job agent in the 80s. He'd found me a job but was too late as I'd already accepted another offer. But he wouldn't let it go and kept pestering me. He was a complete dickhead and when people say it, it reminds me of him(self)
