It's not a groupset?

I would ask where the rest of it was.

Then I would probably ask why I had Mirage cranks.

I haven't noticed anything about it though. What am I missing?

Ok..thats what I'm getting at. I am no expert so want some other input...I see a mirage crank when all the other bits of hardware say Veloce. This bike was sold as having full veloce...so..erm...thats not right then is it?

Nope thats obviously not a full Veloce groupset.

There could well be several other bits wrong too.

The bottom bracket is probably wrong. I think the chains wrong (can't tell) and going on the rims i'm guess you've got machine built wheels so you've obviously not got veloce hubs either.

New bike or 2nd hand?

Sometimes these things matter little with Campag, as parts are shared among several groupsets and the finish & nuts & bolts may be better on the higher spec group.

Likelihood is that Mirage may have more steel chainrings than Veloce, that might be it.

But to the point in hand, if the bike was sold as "full" Veloce groupset then it obviosuly isn't. MTB's have often been sold with the description of "XT" compnenets when all they mean is the rear mech!

Campag using 'stickers' on the crankset - what next !:headshake:

This bike was sold to me by Evans. It is a 2008 new Bianchi via nirone c2c alu carb veloce. I have contacted them and they have asked for photos which I sent tonight.

Now i am worried about the BB and hubs...how can I tell? I know the levers and rear mech are veloce as it says so on them....

...it's still a nice bike, but I feel let down BIG TIME by Evans here.

- probably just protective film. I thought the same re. my Veloce cranks, took a good few months before I realised you could peel it off (in fact I have replaced it with 'sticky backed plastic' to continue the protective function)

nb. 'The manufacturer reserves the right to change the specification without notice.'

I haven't read the Bianchi catalogue but I'll wager my avatar that it's in there somewhere.

Haven't you had this bike for a while now? If so you may find it hard to get any redress.
