I don't think your ears have embraced the subtleness of English accents, but I guess for an Italian living North of the border you can be forgiven!

To my ears, any accent outside Glasgow is posh English

It was about half a mile from the riding stables at Portiragnes Plage. We'd ridden there from Bezieres and had lunch at the Pizzeria, and Cubette went riding for the afternoon.

It's a nice place, we did a lot of riding along the Canal du Midi this September, beautiful place. Were you touring?

We were camping at Valras Plage. There's a half off-road cycle network that links the Canal at Villeneuve to the campsite via Serignan more or less, and I would clock up a quick 30 by doing that and cycling to Cers most mornings before breakfast. The kids and I had our own bikes with us, as we also did some more serious trail riding nearby. Mrs Cube hired a rental bike for the more genteel canal path stuff.
