I shall be over the Pond recapturing the USA for the empire. It will be fairly easy as they will all be celebrating.

Won't be going anywhere near pubs until the rush dies down and confident no spikes in cases. The way people have acted at the beaches fills me with dread. Anyway we have enjoyed sitting in the garden having a few drinks and also saving a load of cash.
If you do go, stay safe

Obviously an Aubergine
Obviously as I'm a massive idiot and a disgusting sub human, I will be going to my local, sit in the garden and have a nice afternoon with a couple of beers. My daughter will probably be working which is a nice change and a chance for her to start earning some money again. I'm sure I'll hear the tutting of all the superior beings from my seat.

Its ok i'm a massive idiot too :okay:

My older son runs a very nice bar in town - he has been enjoying a break while furloughed - but will be opening up again then.

I shall go along by bike - a civilised 12 miles or so - on the reopening day to enjoy a very nice drink at his very nice bar - and even have a suitably distanced chat with his very nice friends who also hang out there and who are always very friendly to me.

Simple pleasures huh ??

I don't want the world to go back to 'normal' in terms of all the rushing about destructive stuff - but sitting in the sun with a decent drink in pleasant company is a fairly innocent something to look forwards to i reckon

I met two of my friends this morning on our motorbikes and just sitting down having a coffee and a natter is something I've really missed. I am a pub person, and I have missed a pint and reading the newspaper at our local.

I'll be at work (same as every bloody Saturday), then home for a few pints in the back garden hopefully.

Let all the Lemmings spread it around again and hopefully miss catching it again in the 2nd wave..

Looking at the beach pictures today it seems the majority have no common sense at all, quite shocking really.

Puzzle game procrastinator!
The way people have acted at the beaches fills me with dread.
Me too!

What completely baffles me (even if we were not in the middle of a pandemic)..., what is the appeal of lounging about on an incredibly crowded beach getting absolutely frazzled by excessive UV light!

If I had the cash, I would literally pay hundreds of pounds to avoid having to spend even a few hours doing that...

Your living in a dream world. The majority the vast majority, even if they get coronavirus will not associate it with anyone place.
Everyone including you will get on with life as if it didn't happen. At most within a year. But we will all tell the yet to be born about the great plague of 2020. Like it was some how worse than the bubonic plague. Coronavirus as Jeremy's brother said it's all conspiracy created by Bill gates. Now that's far more interesting than boring old coronavirus!!!!!
I'd appreciate it if you didn't suggest I'm living in a dream world as you know nothing of me. I've clearly explained my thinking.

I will visit places where I feel confident adequate measures are being taken to protect me as a customer. If I don't feel confident I simply won't go. The retailer/cafe/pub will be the one to lose out which is not my worry. It's not a dream but a fact and I know many people who feel exactly the same.

Reading between the lines you appear to fall in to the general group I don't want to be near. You seem to lack an understanding of the situation and our responsibilities to ourselves and society in general. That may also be your loss, it certainly won't be mine.

As I said we will all forget about it in a years time and you will go to whichever shops you went to before wherever you thought they were protecting you or not...in the past. I am clearly talking about the future.
And I would appreciate if you didn't read between the lines as you know nothing of me!!!
