What do you call your main evening meal?

It was tea when i was a kid, and became dinner when i started getting above my station :-)

"Dinner". "Lunch" is at lunch time!

"Supper" is a supplimmentary nosh late in the evening, normally after returning from t' pub.

I had a rather strange master at school who would often tell us that 'only dogs eat dinner'...

When I was a kid it was tea. Now I call it dinner. Never had supper, 'less it was from the chippy.
