In no particular order....

Rumours - Fleetwood Mac
Sgt Peppers
Abraxus - Santana
Hotel California - The Eagles
Out of the Blue - ELO

and I suppose I should put Dark Side of the Moon in there too but I blow hot and cold on that one. Depends on the Merlot intake at the time I think.

Oh, where to begin! This will do for a start:

Junior Walker & The All Stars - Shotgun
PJ Harvey - Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea
Esbjorn Svensson Trio - Seven Days Of Falling
Grace Jones - Nightclubbing
Tubby Hayes & Clark Terry - The New York Sessions

Dunno, although when think about lists like this the 2 albums which would always be in the top 5 over the years and not like I otherwise still sit around listening to 80s indie music all the time are:

The Smiths - The Smiths
The Jesus and Mary Chain - Psychocandy

Probably going thru the teen years at the time helps.

This week's faves (but as everyone else has said, no particular order and might be replaced by others next week):

Giant Steps - John Coltrane
Stupidity - Doctor Feelgood
Ramones - The Ramones
Forever Changes - Love
Trout Mask Replica - Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band

I tried and tried with this 'cos everyone says it's so good. I just don't get it though.

The Ramones - We're Outta Here! (cause I am a massive Ramones fan and this last show covers the entire career of the band.)
Spreading the Disease- Anthrax (The album that really grabbed my ear post punk)
Reign in Blood - Slayer (simply classic and defining in its genre)
Ozzmosis - Ozzy Osbourne (cause Ozzy is a lovely chap  )
Shane MacGowan and The Popes - User1314 (got to love the toothless drunk  )

Another day, another list, this time completely jazz (because I was deliberately excluding jazz last time):

Billie Holiday - Lady in Satin (heartbreaking for so many reasons)
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue (it just isn't possible to overrate this album)
Dexter Gordon - Go (be-bop at its best)
Thelonius Monk - Monk's Dream (the most singular jazz pianist)
Al Di Meola, John MacLaughlin and Paco De Lucia - Friday Night in San Francisco (three men and three guitars and absolute fretwork fireworks)
