My goal is to loose four stone (four weeks in and one stone lost so far) and let the other targets fall as a result.

Already beat my goal which was to ride again and ride with the local club after beating cancer....
....I probably want to start doing charity rides for Lymphoma in the next few months.
I had testicular cancer in my mid thirties, which was when I last regularly rode until about three months ago. Understandably, the operation made riding a complete no go for a few weeks, but the chemo left me drained for months. Good luck, well done and enjoy the fresh outlook on life I know you now have.

Goal this year (as it was in the last two years where Injuries and lack of training stopped me going for it) is to get 100 miles under my belt.

Booked in for a Charity Ride at the end of August to do just that, so far injury free and riding faster over longer distances than ever before. Only up to 62 miles so far so hoping to push that up in the next month to around 80ish. I'm feeling a lot stronger and fitter than I have for years (and it's showing on Strava) but finding the idea of 100 miles a bit daunting at the moment

Saturday the club ride was 60 miles, after getting back to the start/finish point in Ipswich I felt good so I headed off alone to add some miles on, picked the flattest route I could think of and added just over 20 to that, total mileage 81.4 @ 17.1mph average (that was 16.9 at the 60 miles point). I really could have gone on to do more but had run out of drink so went back home as planned. Only my backside was a slight issue and my feet going numb (which has been a problem for a while - I think my shoes need changing as they are pretty worn). The following day I had a bit of a back ache but I guess that's to be expected, all fine now!

After feeling pretty daunted by the idea of 100 miles I now feel confident!

When I started commuting 38 miles round trip in April my aim was to keep doing it until the clocks go back and I allowed myself one train journey home a week - and I wasn't allowed to feel guilty if I did take the train.
3 1/2 months in and I've only taken the train home 3 or 4 times and am commuting every day.
New target: (assuming I make it through to early October!) to keep commuting though Winter as well, but as the towpath will be very dark at night I will allow myself 2 or 3 train journeys home each week. Will see how it goes as cycling on the towpath in Winter will be a lot different to how it is now.
