I've been listening to these two, as I've been having a go at the tabs on guitar, particularly the nuances of how Gary Moore plays Parisienne Walkways, one day I might be a 10th as good as him

It would be better to learn this stuff by ear, then you get a real feel for how they are played. It's Ear Training.

Music is about using your ears, yes it takes longer, but it gets easier over time and you become a better musician.:okay:

That’s hopefully what I’m trying to do, yes the tabs get you going, but by listening to it with headphones on I’m trying to pick the bones out of what’s being played, how it’s being played along with time, I think I’m starting to get the gist of it, but if somebody last year had said in 12 month’s you’re going to be having a pop at Gary Moore & Joe Bonamassa songs I’d have taken it with a huge pinch of salt, after the awful buzzing noises and weird notes that were being played at first, but I find that I now can work out what time it’s being played in, and how the guitar part fits in, but it just takes time to get your “ear in” to what’s going on and pick the bits out of the music that’s relevant to what your trying to do, and filter out the rest. It’s actually a part of the Justin Guitar online course, but I’ve not got that far yet

I have too and a cracking compilation of the original songs they covered, only on mp3 at the moment, Songs The Cramps Taught Us

The album in the top-left corner has some of the originals, that The Cramps covered, like 'Garbageman' & Paralysed'
