Norman Gunston and Frank Zappa.
I think Steve Vai was credited with playing 'rhythm guitar' on something or other! I always liked Norman Gunston, but haven't seen him in anything for many years.Rare to see Frank playing rhythm guitar, he always hated doing it and normally paid someone else to do it for him.
Likewise with the footage of Lennon and Frank, I only have it on the free LP that came with some copies of 'Sometime In New York City' that has the artwork from 'Live At The Filmore East' (the album with the pencil on the front as it was referred to on 'Just Another Band From LA') with it crossed out and overwritten in red felt tip. I had never seen that film footage though, quite made my night simply for its 'Historical value'I think Steve Vai was credited with playing 'rhythm guitar' on something or other! (I really did find this clip tonight, by the way. It wasn't just a response to your post.)
Referring to Yoko's participation as a 'contribution' is very charitable of you! At least she was absent for the Zappa/Gunston session!Certainly not for Yoko's contribution.....
