I stay and was brought up in Glasgow , however spent 3 yrs in Canada ( 13-16- I'm 47 now ) and have been told I have a kinda weird accent , I get asked if I'm from Falkirk / Stirling / central Scotland which is a good 25 mile from me but just a regional accent

I speak with a Yorkshire accent, until I go back home and then they all tell me I sound like a shandy drinking southerner.

born, bred and live in Kent, so supposedly slightly posh and the most clear accent on earth pretty much... but i'm a farmer! so i talk quick, mumble and just rattle on in general. usually in some sort of un-understandable noises apparently, yet somehow every farmer i work for understands me perfectly! haha

Oh, am Scottish Borders which often got mistaken for Aberdonian weirdly here in central Scotland.
