Well, they've given lip service to going by the rules. Just because an annual inspection has been conducted does no automatically mean that is was thorough, or fit for purpose.
....or that action was taken on any of the issues raised in the reports.
Thinking here of cycle paths which were inspected weekly (allegedly) by a contractor for Transport Scotland:whistle:.

I've just read that they pumped out 23 million gallons of water on Saturday. Where does all this water go?
If they're still using imperial measurements it doesn't instil confidence:sad:.

River Goyt, then the Mersey. Goyt seems OK at the moment
River levels are fine in the High Peak ATM. The catchment area is small and we've had a couple of dry days. That's all it takes to see levels drop

Imperial is shite.
Would never want to go to it.

I work with a mix of the two, I'm off that age.

It's great. It discovered the New World, won 2 World Wars, put men on the moon, and sent probes beyond the solar system, so it is clearly not poop as you suggest.

If only it had an easy to understand logic to the mechanics of it...

Which is fine right up to the point you have to do anything that involves combining units, or even using different derivations of imperial units. In engineering normally if we come across anything archaic/american in imperial, we immediately convert it into SI units where the whole system is designed to work together, unlike this: -
