I'll pop up the road to Miss Goodbody's and make sure she's warm when she gets naked and wet :okay:

Up here (compared to all you's lot daan saarf) its forecast to be 14 degrees on Wednesday
My longest ride this year was a difficult and windy 40..........I think I will try for a 50 this week providing it's not too windy again.
I didn't actually vote to get 'older' but being retired (and in reasonable health) does have it's benefits.
Any other 'oldies' planning to benefit from it...........or those simply not working on that day ??
Weather down South is looking good, There is a group of us going out in the morning, Got my bibshorts and short sleeve jersey all ready sorted for a 9am start.

Ooooh, it is lovely darn sarf! Ride to and from work tomorrow. 50km, 700-800m of up depending on the route and the added bonus of turning up to work in my most see-through Lycra a day after the MD has moaned about standards of attire in the office.

My thread title was "longer" ride.
But I grant you.......50 is long to me

The good news on that, Colin, is that now Thursday is very close to being equally good around here/there.
But the 'bad news' (in that respect) is that my sister and nephew are coming up on Thursday so I might have to be hanging about waiting for them to arrive. If they tell me that they won't be here until mid-afternoon then I can get out for a decent ride before that.

well i could have the day off if i wanted. I can have any day off whenever i want the beauty of self employment, but on the downside i never get paid for these days off so im afraid not. However i will be doing my first 50 of the year next week.

I'm off to bed soon. I'm up at 8.30 for our club ride. It'll either be the usual west to Garstang or east to Settle,Feizor or Airton. It should be good though. A sunny warmish day is forecast, and i'm giving my new jersey (Christmas present) its first ride out.
I can't decide which bike to take though.

The parcel arrived on time. A mate came round for a few hours shortly afterwards but I managed to get a 3 hour sunny ride in after he left.

It is not looking bad for tomorrow either so I will nip out again if I have time before my sister arrives.

I want to keep the momentum up now I am finally getting more frequent and/or longer rides in after a very slow start to my cycling year.
