Wednesday's Forecast is VERY GOOD..........I feel longer ride coming on :)

Up here (compared to all you's lot daan saarf) its forecast to be 14 degrees on Wednesday
My longest ride this year was a difficult and windy 40..........I think I will try for a 50 this week providing it's not too windy again.
I didn't actually vote to get 'older' but being retired (and in reasonable health) does have it's benefits.
Any other 'oldies' planning to benefit from it...........or those simply not working on that day ??

Clearly there is a split in the weather- my friend @Phill Woods has Wed off as it's his birthday and had planned to ride, the wind doesn't drop below 40mph from 8am- 8pm maxing out at 49mph.

Yes, it's looking good today, Tuesday, so I'll be out in Cheshire, I might try a meandering ride out to Oulton Park and back, 50(ish) miles, slow and steady, with plenty of stops. I'll be mainly enjoying the scenery and avoiding the hills...........

How weird is that.............maximum wind forecast for today is 3 mph and for tomorrow is 5 mph.
We were on holiday in Cornwall last June.....sun was shining but the wind was so strong (and cold) we only got on the beach twice and both times we had to wear coats.

Sadly I am busy today..........we are picking new carpet & furniture.........so a ride is out of the question. Tomorrow I will be going Dunham Massey on the road then back along the Trans Penine towards Moore/Runcorn and back.

13.2 miles to work, and the same back. Through loads and loads of traffic. Wonderful.

(I might chuck a 25-mile TT on the back of it but it'll be going dark by then).

I have to wait in for a delivery of a radiator for my bathroom. (Question to previous owners of the house: Who in their right mind has central heating radiators put in all but one room PLUS one on the first floor landing, but does NOT have any heating put in the room where you get naked and wet? )

I have been given a whole-day delivery slot so I will have to get up early in case there is a knock on the door first thing, but I could be stuck here until the evening. I'm hoping that it comes early so I can get out on my bike after that. I have friends coming for a meal at 17:00 so I would need to be back by about 16:00. I can see me missing out on the sunshine ...
