imo since the pandemic, driving standards have fallen, it's the reason i head out as soon as it's light enough, fewer idiot drivers, though in london even a small proportion of them is a big number

On the whole, I think driving standards have improved since the introduction of the 1.5m law up here.
I am near backroads where I don't see a car for miles and miles so it's quite a different environment. It's just that, some routes require going through the urban bits. I think that almost every tractor driver locally know me and I always give a thumbs up to anyone who pays me room and courtesy. Goodwill spreads goodwill.
If you do get your mitts on it I know some people who know their s**t when it comes to vintage Seikos so should be able to tell you whether you either put it in the recycling, or end up being like one of those old crusties on 'Antiques Roadshow' who discovers that they've had an original Renoir sitting in their loft.
