So I found a wasp nest in the bike shed. So decided to remove it...obviously.
It was the size of a golf ball.
Seeing as it was small I put on some gardening gloves and just picked it up. It just disintegrated in my hand. Inside was a I guess a Queen wasp and a couple of other wasps.
The nest was a lovely looking intricate thing and felt bad destroying it.
If I had let the nest/wasps be, would it have got much bigger?

I did the same from in our garage last year more tennis ball size. In my teens my then girl friend had one in her parents loft it was the size of a beach ball took the hatch off the loft one day and it sounded like a motorway up there. Had to get the pro's in for that one .

Most pests I'll DIY removal - not wasps or bees though...they have men in special suits for that :excl:

We get the same most years, a little golf ball sized nest and remove it. Sometimes they try again shortly after though so worth keeping an eye out - I might go check later.

I recall theres some pretty insane youtube videos of people removing wasps nests, from trapping them in bins to flamethrowers
