As merlin are taking them in for inspection, why not ask for a loan wheelset?

You get some wheels and they get pressured into turning it round quick so wheel mileage is low when they sell on

Gathering from their unenthusiastic replies to quite in depth messages, I'd imagine they would say no. Great idea though.
