Next spring with Pog, Remco, Wout and MVDP. And Pidders in the wings. I can't wait.
I'm not as patient as you 😁
Was sort of hoping he could be convinced to ride Lombardia in less than a months time...mainly because I'm going !

Unless they band together, can you really see any of them beating Jumbo Visma in the Grand Tours?

It is looking likely that JV are going to win all three Grand Tours this year - with different riders winning each.

It is hard to compete against a team that has three serious contenders for GC.

Maybe it's the distorting prism of time, but I recall a few accounts of Tours long gone by [i.e. before I watched them as they happened!] where significant cross-team alliances formed? Slightly more specifically I recall non-Spanish riders getting worked over by the Spanish teams at the Vuelta - I think R.Millar and S.Kelly both suffered this.

Clearly it's a very rare thing these days ...

Take a look at his palmares and his wins already this year alone... I mean he's already won the Vuelta age 22 and was on course to win the Giro this year before the dreaded lurgy finished that.
Depends on his opposition I suppose or should I say Jumbo 🙄 Same for Pogi by the looks of it.I guess the question is do we want riders like Pogi and Remco to focus on one race ? Or do we want them to go for everything and be exciting to watch ?
Definitely the second choice for me can't wait to see Pogi v Remco 😍
As I have said a good stage winner,(5/53) one day racer (4/4) and time trialist (3/6) a decent one week stage racer(1/4) but not such a good Grand tour winner (0/2).
Yes he won the Vuelta last year at 22 (by that age Pogacar had won 2 Tours of France) and as for on course to win the Giro.:laugh::laugh:
I enjoy watching all sorts of races and like to watch them compete but I can admit that some are better than others at different things and not taken in by the hype that surrounds some riders.
Vinegaard probably the best Grand tour rider around at the moment.
Pogacar probably the best all round rider at the moment.

There was a lot of talk about "banding together" when Richie Porte and his mates were supporting Chris Froome. Not terribly likely to happen.

It's been an amazing year for Jumbo but times change. It's going to be hard to compete, but it's always hard.

In the meantime I think the likes of Pog and Remco will light up races even if they don't win.

Kind of true... If that's possible! But Kuss is only in the red jersey because the peloton let him get all that time in the break.
Otherwise it would probably be all in for Rog or Vingo.
Kuss could certainly have led another team if he had had the ambition before now

I just checked on his age and it's his 29th birthday on Wednesday. Which is actually a bit older than I thought he was.

Anyway, happy birthday Sepp.

Ayuso.....says he's going to go for it,more than likely on stage 20,nothing lost nothing gained 😁
"In 2022 I reached the podium, but right now I'm closer to the leader (Kuss). I feel I made a step forward this year. That's the reason I have to go for it. It wouldn't be the end of the world to end 6th. I want to attack."

Mas...happy for a podium place 🙄
