After a week of Highlights (on Quest), I am once again reminded of the awfulness of Mr Kirby. Life-long Eurosport viewers? You have my immense sympathy. What a pillock. Just constant spouting of nonsense.

It's not one of his main faults - not by a long way - but calling the stage winner Philip O'Ganna is really poor.

I wonder sometimes if he has some sort of hold over the people at Eurosport/GCN which forces them to use him. They surely must be aware of just how bad he is, and how unpopular.

Lotta Remco hate on social meeja. Every single interview gets selectively quoted, fans jump on the less good bits. I've only reeeeally started noting it during this Vuelta, but have a feeling it's been rumbling along for some months/years ...

Was there some incident/comments that started all this? What is the origin story of this Cycling Super-villain?!?

Agree he seems to polarise views either love or hate him personally we love his commentary.
The Phillip 0'Ganna quip is a long standing in joke between him and Sean.
