So do you think Jumbo will be down to a mere two leaders after this? Will Jonas be on bottle fetching duties?

Proper flatish, straightish TT course won by a proper TT rider.

Maybe, that is why the UCI have recently been avoiding using proper TT courses in most Grand Tours, because the big strong TT specialists will easily win.

It's how it should be, the poor buggers spend ages dragging the peloton along in their wake, they deserve a "shot a glory" day

Yea weirdly I can tolerate Rogla or Kuss winning but not Vingo...nothing personal !
I'm still hoping Ayuso has another few cards up his sleeve...need to attack Jumbo in the third week, send Soler up the road and put the pressure on.

Still hoping for GT...

However his chances for a ride with ISN next year are getting slimmer by the day!🤣

Perhaps Cardiff needs an active transport commissioner!

Had some sh1t luck this Vuelta...mechanical yesterday ! Still got plenty to give as a rider,I'd be surprised if he doesn't end his career at Ineos.Maybe in some sort of supervisory role.

I think that the live GPS tracking has rather spoilt the TT spectacle for TV viewers.

In the old days nothing at all happened until a rider crossed the line. And if the stage winner was also high on GC, that meant nothing at all of any interest happened for the first 3 hours; just riders on absurd bikes riding at constant pace on their own.

I still think they're incredibly boring, but the time checks are at least something happening at regular intervals through the day!

Agreed. I was meaning that I preferred the semi-old days when we had intermediate time checks, but not second-by-second live timing. Live timing helps you see the evolution of the race better, but somewhat detracts from what little surprise and excitement a TT can offer.

Ah, gotcha.

(It sounds like the "excitement" is going from no information about some bloke riding at constant speed, to TA-DAH! Some timing information about some bloke riding at constant speed. Anyway, some folks seem to like it ... :P )
