That's a good point actually.

Also, make sure you get one with an RB300 arm. Earlier decks had an 'S' shaped silver RB200 arm which was nowhere near as good. There are lots out there so be fussy and try to get one locally first so that you can check it out. Anyone who wants info on checking a turntable just drop me a whiz-e.

Buy a Rega Planer3. It's a total no brainer. Fantastic sounding deck that really brings music to life and just happens to be stunning to look at too. Also simple to set up and bomb proof, they ship with a lifetime guarantee. Unless you have a VERY revealing system it's the only record player you'll ever need. PS, don't get a P3, it's a different deck and not as good. Don't get a Planer 2 either. Looks almost identical but it's too thin sounding.

Heh ta, think it will be some time b4 I invest in a turntable (this bloody bike gear seems to have taken over for the mo) but I will remember the tip.
