I have a good old fashioned Nait 2. The shop I bought it from still offer me 80% of what I paid for it 28 years ago. Part exchange I assume.

Linked up to the TDL's with some Linn speaker cable you could hang an elephant with.

My two Naim bits go for a fair bit more now than I paid s/h 5 years ago. No idea why really?

At the risk of sending @raleighnut apoplectic again, there's a Thorens TD280 (presumably a Mk 1?) for auction next Saturday.
Not particularly hi-fi, but a decent enough piece of kit, probably £40 to £60 worth, and certainly vintage.

Edit: hammer price £60

Not bad, probably better than a Dual.....................I'd fit a different cartridge though (not a fan of Audio Technica)

I was really in to it 35 years ago, my set up was a Thornens TD166 with a Moth arm, Ion Obelisk 1 amp and Royd Coniston speakers, all up in the loft these days gathering dust.

Similar TT to mine, the 'Moth' is a rebadged Rega like mine but I have a Thorens badged RB 250 with a conversion mounting plate, but a very capable tonearm. What cartridge do you have on yours, I originally used an Ortofon VMS 30e Mk 11 but canged to a Nagaoka MP11 Boron and was later given a Stilton Audio modified body* by the same guy (Gev Jones) who fitted the Rega arm when he was just about to close down his shop.

* Stilton machined the original plastic oblong mounting plate off and fitted it into a circular metal (Magnesium I think) mount in order to reduce 'resonance' in the Cartridge body, makes it a b*gger to align but gives a definite improvement in sound over what is originally a very nice sounding Cartridge

Trusty RB 250 with an Ortofon Red on ... also great sound for the cash.

I‘m pretty sure it’s A Linn Asaka moving coil cartridge.

Rather prosaically described as "A Garrard teak record player and pair of speakers". Might attract more interest if they mentioned it's a Garrard 301 with what looks a pretty decent arm (but not one I recognise from my limited knowledge), apparently an Ortofon cartridge and probably a decent pair of Goodman speakers. Might try to find out what the reserve is on Friday.

They've now updated the description and attached new photos: "A Record Housing teak stereo cabinet with Garrard turntable, Model 301, Schedule no. 51400/2 and SME arm". Wouldn't hurt to mention that a Quad pre-amplifier, and presumably power amp(s) is also included!
Not sure what "Record Housing" is supposed to mean, 'cos that's not what's in the box.

Edit: no reserve, but lots of interest already. Should have recognised the SME 3009 arm! Mounted at a strange angle, though?
"Record Housing" seems to be the brand name on the cabinet.

Edit 2: Hammer price £1350 - slightly less than I expected.

I was about to say that's a QUAD 22, if it has 2 speakers then very likely to have a pair of the QUAD 11 valve amps

Up for auction in Nottingham Sat 11/2/23.
"A German TD125 Mk II record player, fitted with SME 3009 tone arm with original shell cartridge holder".
Thorens, of course. Est £380 - £500. Plus at least 25% commission, if anyone's tempted.
Probably realistic estimate, might make top end but not much over that?

Edit: Hammer price bottom of estimate at £380
