Been a while since I had anything to report on here, but I managed to cadge a lift to Slough and was able to do a short ride that filled in a bunch of tiles between Eton and Heathrow that was preventing my cluster from growing southwards.

23 new tiles, but added 44 to my main cluster by joining up disparate patches.

That looks VERY targeted. Well done.

Not got any new tiles yet this year, but seeing you guys posting has got me thinking about it. So I'm planning some routes to extend my square.

Picked a few off this week in the Forest of Dean. If I can close a few gaps around Gloucester, I can extend my cluster by over 100 tiles. May have to stop when I'm going up or down the M5 sometime and snaffle a few

Done that again but went east slight bag the eastern Langford tile and loop to get the southern Bigglewade tile.

First new tiles of the year for me today. Club C ride was going to Culworth Forge, so I had a look at what tiles I could get from there.
Made it into a 58-miler but got 11 new tiles.






Some of the trickier tiles in that area will need a gravel bike visit.

Anyone struggle with this? I have NEVER managed to get "new tiles" to display as a different colour on Mac or iPad.

I think the new tile colour applies if you’re using the Veloviewer browser plug-in with the Strava route planner. It’s been a while since I used it, but I think it lights up tiles that your planned ride *will* bag, but which you haven’t previously visited.

OK that makes sense. I don't use Strava to plan my routes.

It may only work on chrome systems ,not sure about apple products

I use Chrome on one of my MacBooks and it doesn't work on that either
