Another imperial century ride to gather some squares ,concentrated on my Northern edge between Nottingham and Derby saw me gather 28 squares total now 5841 max cluster up 23 to 3141

Tbh it may not be necessary, as my main interest would be getting my cluster across to Wales.

While this is certainly possible:

Working up both sides and crossing at Sharpness may well be substantially easier.

My max square is nowhere near Bristol, Porton Down will probably be the major barrier that I hit.

Nice up there, although I went further West.

At some point I might go full road geek and cycle the length of the A44 from Oxford to Aber, it's of a length to be challenging while never looking too knarly. The same can't be said of the A40 (ahem Westway).

It was drier for me to connect via Gloucester.
