Gave myself about an hour in Oxford for old time's sake.
No turning back now. I have a room booked at M6 Corley Services, was substantially cheaper than the hotels directly en route.
This route itself will add diddly squat to my max cluster, but it reduces the missing link to a trivial gap around Chippenham.

Been offline for a few weeks. Had a tile tagging failure a couple of weeks back, when I hit a spot with no network coverage
This is what greeted me on the northbound track in the screen shot of the map below. I could have got round it, but there was a security camera.
So I took a detour on a path, along the woods (the path through the woods has this sign):
Didn't fancy being shot so ended up cycling down this path on 25 mm tyres:
But as you can see from the map, I then hit the same track and there were more video cameras. So going to try an approach from the north
Think I have figured out a way to get the tile by accessing the path along Spittle Brook...

Also managed to connect clusters around Hay on Way and mid Wales to usual cycling areas in Shropshire and West Midlands by cycling home from holiday at Coco's Wild Camping site (highlighted purple). Not as epic as some members, but a fairly big day out...

It looks like you can approach it from the north a long a bridleway between Alcester Heath and the A41 (purple line, below), it'll take you just into the north west corner of the tile. If you want to make sure of bagging it you could also go along the footpath to the woods and Alcester for a bit.

Good idea. That was my back up plan, but may try that first as I will be coming from the north.
Today I am doing some urban tiles in the Black Country while my daughter is at acrobatics. Some canal path and one biggish hill
I remember hitting those same gates a couple of months ago. Can't recall what I did about it. I'll check my ride.
