Yup if they ran another - they would have at the very least give a reduced fee to 2020 entrants - meaning it would probably run at a loss or close to it.I believe that they have lost quite a lot of money over it, with no refunds being an admission that it won't happen again.
Cycling funds imo in the next few years imo will go on infrastructure projects , canal paths etc .
Velo Wales, and Velo North got binned as they weren't financially viable(pre covid). I think closed road sportives with a couple of exceptions are pretty much dead ....at least in the short term.
