Though I've just noticed that Tapiriik also adds Dropbox into the mix, providing a handy local backup too. :-)

Having just tested Tapiriik, it's slower than CopyMySports (a 1-hour sync cycle rather than 15 mins), it appears equally reliable and being a belt-and-braces man where backups are concerned, I like the Dropbox sync so have switched to this - thanks for the pointer.

Three :-) I subscribe to the old IT saying: a document doesn't exist unless it's in at least three places, one or more of them off-site.

What are you using to access the garmin connect site? I was disappointed when I cam across this as I have an ipad 2. If your using a windows CPU then u can extract the tcx file and upload it to strava full site,it doesn't take long. Then go back to then app and it will be in the, or you could just connect the cable.

I just paired the 810 with the GarminConnect app on my iPhone. As soon as I hit Save on the 810, it uploads the ride data to the iPhone and the iPhone immediately uploads it to the Garmin Connect website.

CPU? Do you mean computer by any chance? If so, I think you're not quite understanding ...

The 810 logs the ride. I hit Save. The ride is then immediately uploaded to the Garmin Connect site. As soon as Tapiriik does its next sync, the ride data is copied to Strava. It's all done before I get home.
