one of the best when you also had The Stone Roses, Bummed, Life and Some Friendly????????

That was my point - they produced a critically acclaimed album that deserved to stand alongside the Roses, Mondays et al, yet they never caught on...

Each to their own but I thought it wasn't very good, especially up against the competition.
At the time the Inspirals debut was my favourite but over the years its definately the Roses first album which sounds every bit as good today.

Cud are/were fantastic.
;)

I've seen a few of their recent gigs......it was like being 18 again (with a bigger belly but more money)!

Are we just on bands or can we have solo artists as well?

If so ....

Deep breath here we go ....

Most underrated pop singer

Vanessa Paradis

Second most underrated pop singer....

even deeper breath...

Paris Hilton.

Before you hurl abuse at me just have a look at these two vids - one for each. In each case it is not serious rock or anything but they do Pop very very well.

Oh dear. I'm being forced to agree with a Dave...
The Paris Hilton single was indeed a classy piece of pop. Thin vocals, Pro-Tuned to within an inch and as artificial as a spam sandwich on sliced white.

But I liked it. Infinitely more honest than any number of novelty haired pillocks 'being real'. I'd rather have one Paris Hilton single than an infinite number of Arctic bleedin' Monkeys albums

I think we may have done this recently, but I just came across a band who got left off last time round.

Ladles and gentlemice, I give you:

THE BANGLES.

I'm listening to their comeback album, 2003's Doll Revolution, and it's fantastic. Great songs, immaculate sunny Californian girly harmonies (I'm a sucker for that, see also Voice of the Beehive) and jangly guitar. Perfect.

Can you walk like an Egyptian: I can't? might have to go out and replace that vinyl album of their's now you've said that.

Comeback you say. I presume that means they split up. Well up on the music scene me.

No-one tell him that the Hairy Cornflake isn't on Radio 1 anymore. He might drop his dust encrusted can of Quattro in shock...

Seriously, get Doll Revolution. In fact, PM me and I'll make you a copy.
