Currently you are missing a replacement hanger.
Perhaps you could share with us what happened: sentences would be good - if you really want any useful advice.

No I'm having trouble getting the rear wheel back on it doesn't seem to go back like my own claris does ,resting the jokey wheels on the top of the cassette and then pulling back is how I normally do it , did it with this derailleur and snapped the hanger

Well your issue is no longer getting the wheel in, it's sourcing the right (new) hanger. Why did the RD need replacing? If previous one damaged, was the hanger bent/damaged at the same time?

Forget the hanger I have a replacement, that broke because I'm a clumsy twat my question is why won't the rear wheel go back in like it should , the rear derailleur is new as the old one was shot it's worked fine for a couple of rides I only took the rear wheel off to fit a grommet on the down tube

Impressed your foresighted friend had procured themself a replacement hanger before you broke it. I am fresh out of ideas why even a clumsy twat like you can't replace a rear wheel on a derailleur geared bike: sorry (was going down the seriously bent hanger cause). If you can't get that wheel in you are going to have a serious ninja bike fettler credibility hit in your mate's eyes.

You need the mech position to be on one of the smallest two sprockets before fitting/taking off. I always use the second smallest sprocket to locate the chain on.

Yeah did that smallest rings both ends , we did change the cage from a small to a medium does that give a clue maybe , scratching for reasons here

Photos would be a great help or even get your mate to film you trying to put wheel in. Bet your mate wishes they’d never asked you to help now.

Haven't told him yet I can't take photos now cos the hangers in 2 pieces I didn't even need to take it off the grommet has a split init to go over the cable ,
