Spweaking to someone who was (working) at Kirkcaldy, it was more than a bit chilly on the seafront, as he said, heaving barriers was quite good for keeping warm. Then said Durham was even chillier, once the sun dropped and the shadows were unheated by solar power! Races looked very good though, I was at Durham a couple of years back and the thought of a wet race made me wonder, then an interesting comment from a rider, that it would be safer in the wet as everyone would go easier into the dreaded corner near the brdge, where the right turn on to the climb is, which I had wondered about.
It's still a difficult circuit though, and being hit by a 300 metre cobbled climb every couple of minutes is no-one's idea of a fun evening!
