Tyre sizing issue

Right, I'll take it back and get a larger one. On the one hand they were good, accepting the tube they sold me had failed at the neck of the valve, so I only had to pay £2 more. But it's lame of them to have given me the wrong size, even lamer of me for not checking!!! Cheers

The guy at Halfords gave me this, clearly wrong, they're so useless!!!
They will stretch to fit the tyre, so they will work OK in a 700x37 tyre, but because they are stretched, the self-sealing won't work very well.
Slime tubes also come in 700x35-42 and 700x47-54 (aka 29x1.85-2.2).

Officially you should use the 700x35-42 size, though I'd be tempted to use the 47-54 size if I cared much about the self-sealing.
I dare say Halfords were selling what they had in stock.

TBH, I went back, that's the largest they do, guy was nice enough so I'm gonna just try it. Next time I'll buy some decent tubes/sealer.
