I had a doctor describe me as an 'elite athlete' on several occasions... This was when I was 56 years old, overweight, unfit, and three quarters dead from blood clots!
Apparently, anybody who can ride a bike at 20 km/hr for more than 5 minutes is someone with incredible fitness!![]()

It doesn't compare with distant past glory days when I was younger, fitter and quite a bit faster.
From what I see, it assesses performance by comparing with my other recent activities. That should keep feedback relevant, both now and in future.
It could do with some refinement, that's for sure. The phrasing of its feedback is simply weird, and does the feedback take different bikes into account? etc

I’m also an elite athlete according to the hospital! One advantage is they did some surgery on me they wouldn’t have done had I been a mere mortal. I did get the sense the doc was a tad disappointed when she looked up from her notes!At least it was not 'elite athlete'!![]()
If they ever got to see an actual elite athlete they would probably treat them as some kind of god or alien being!
