I think the reality is that the more intricate, quirky or complicated the design the more it’ll split opinion. Sort of stating the obvious really. We’re all going to have different taste, but the more neutral it is, the closer it’ll sit in the middle ground. Possibly no one will love it. But by the same token no one will hate it either.

I think to that end we should dismiss the jail house idea. I knew it was a bit left field when I suggested it. So it’s one of those that either everyone likes, or we move on.

Paul I suppose my own taste would be for something that’s not to busy if that makes sense? Not too much going on. For example I’m not sure that black and white really work with blue in my head n that design. But that’s just my taste.
I think if it was solely down to me I’d probably choose one colour. And then have a really strong emblem design, and our nicknames on the back. Or maybe one main colour with one or two secondary colours but nothing too out there. I think if we all look smart and in the same jersey we will stand out.

But I am genuinely happy to go with the majority. It’s a jersey I’m going to wear a few times a year. And it should be a laugh and a nice team thing.
Ok so if it was one colour, what kind of colour would you go for? Black, white, l blue (dark, light), purple?! (I'm not too keen on plain black from a visibility point of view).

Problem with relying on a "really strong emblem design" is a) someone with the right skills has to design it - much harder than designing a jersey. And b) That's a whole other design thing for us to have to agree on!

Tommy, I could put one of the designs your other half did into the shortlist if you like? I assume you liked those?

Yep totally agree about the emblem. It’s much harder than it looks. How much do companies pay design consultants! I was talking ideally really. My ideal. Not what’s realistically possible. I don’t think anyone’s going to hit a home run with this thing. Maybe if someone spends a long time on it but what’s the odds of that!
So because it’s difficult to nail the emblem. And some people aren’t sure about putting their names / nicknames on the shirt. It’s easier for me to vote and go with the majority.

It’s why I said I’d go with the majority. I’m not overly impressed with the design layouts of the akuma site to be honest. So... we’ve just got to pick one and go with it!

I’m more worried about getting myself fit at the moment. I’ve not turned a peddle in nearly a month. And I reckon I’ve put on at least 6 or 7 kilos in the last 2 weeks. We went to a cooking demonstration this evening and I had four servings of the food! Four full plates of curry and rice etc!. It’s just impossible to say no to it!

OK, no one's made any further suggestions so here is the absolute FINAL shortlist - if at least 10 of us are up for buying one let's go for it! (Unless someone else wants to start from scratch all over again that is - I can't spend any more time on it!)

REMEMBER - subtle changes can still be made - particularly to the writing/logo - so you're voting on the basics of the overall design. If we can agree on one I will be happy to manage the ordering etc.
