Not you as wellC’mon...what the hell... we can’t send Randy home not having the full DD under his belt can we? Plus we can all call Andy CXR the lightweight, because he didn’t do the 130 mile version! ☺️

i am sure you will be fine as long as you pace yourself , there are some fantastic downhills and foodstops to recover on but they are hard earnt - but what what do i know ! i only did the 90I signed up for the 95. I’ll see if I can change it. I picture a large constable yelling “oy you there, what’s all this? You’ve only signed up for the 95” I’ve learned everything I know from British TV.
only did the 90WHEN i do it again i will do the big one
I burn in the mid day sun !I was surprised you didn't do the long route, also considering that you averaged a pace where you finished before mid-day![]()

Honestly I was using it as a test as I was doing that north coast 500 a couple of weeks later and haven’t got the hills around here
I wanted to see how I felt at the sort of av I had got to do each day
In the end it wasn’t a fair test as we were spoilt in Wales by the weather and I was severely kicked in the toolbox by the weather in Scotland
If there was someone on my shoulder saying “ I will if you will “ at the decision point I think I would have been talked into it but as half of you had decided to make up your own course , one was secretly dying and I had lost the others I didn’t know what was happening so I plumped for the easy option

I really didn't know until I got the decision food stop, whilst chatting with Adam eating lots of Welsh cakes I felt pretty good at that point. It was at the 100 mile food stop, I just wanted it to end, it's surprising how quickly feeling good to survival mode switches over
I hit like because of the comraderie not the saddle sore. Nothing worse. I read somewhere that you can use a high end steroid cream. Is it available over the counter in the UK?I've signed up for the 95 miler, but will go with the flow. I'm up there for the joy of cycling with you guys. What's the time limit?
My longest ride is 102 miles but that was fairly flat (5000 ish ft). Although a recent Mallorca ride was 85 miles and over 9000ft and that was with a full blown saddle sore (6 hours of pain there and you don't really notice the legs).

No time limit like Andy said but he'll be waiting for you to pass before he takes the signs downI've signed up for the 95 miler, but will go with the flow. I'm up there for the joy of cycling with you guys. What's the time limit?

@rob01792 and I were 'broomed' last year on the 95 miler - I think we were out on the course about 9 hours (8 hours moving). The broom wagon guys were superb and in many ways made the day for us as they looked after us so well. Can't speak for Rob, but I was not in a good place the last 20+ miles and they really looked out for us.@kipster there is no actual time limit, seen as my ride was 9+ hours in the saddle. Tommy and Dean can expand on the fella with a broom![]()
