We have loads of plastic storage containers, but they are either takeaway tubs or bought in IKEA. In both cases the plastic container is not the primary offer from the vendor; they make money on other stuff too.

Loads of plastic containers in use here - mostly not for food.

A vibrating wand would probably do for me too, but... Oh, you don't mean like that?

There's just been an item on the French news about it. The French pronunciation of 'tupperware' made me chuckle, think of a rap artist....

Too Paa Wah.
I can't 'unhear' that now, a bit like a French guy I used to know who always called photography

'Photgraphie'

With an emphasis on the first two and last sylable, 'Photo - graph - ee'.

Or in points at Eurovision, when they say Iceland, Ireland and Sweden in French

'Eess - laund', 'Ear - laund', 'Swed'.

I never did French at school.

We use loads of plastic containers for freezing and storing surplus allotment produce, leftovers, soups and meals cooked specially for freezing - make a six serving moussaka, eat two and freeze four for example.

Not a single one is Tupperware. I either by quality reusable food containers from the £1 shop or recycled ice cream containers, both last for years.
