Venues that tell you what time the band appears on stage and not just what time the doors open.

The problem is everyone would arrive at the same time, form a massive queue and loads of people would miss the start .

The venue also likes to get the audience in early so they can sell them food and drink.

But theatres seem to cope with a fixed start time.

Cinemas always build in at least 15 minutes of trailers, so we just arrive 15 minutes late.

That would imply that it had at one time been great.

It was quite a wealthy town, for the factory and mill owners that is , in Victorian and Edwardian times. Accrington has some of the finest Architecture of that era to be found in Britain! Ok, many of those fine buildings are now HMO's full of skanky crackheads, but nevertheless, they are still fine buildings!!🧐

I had an unexpected phone call recently from a solicitor in Crediton, who'd taken over the practice that did my house conveyancing a number of years ago. As far as I can remember, it was on a fixed-fee rate, and went through smoothly. The lady told me that there was a small sum of money still on my account that they had found when going through the paperwork, and would I like it returned to me. I asked how much it was: when she said it was £60, I asked if they could donate it to charity, as I'd not missed the money. The answer was yes.

Now, if you're wondering why I'm ever so slightly vague about this, said house purchase was 33 years ago.

Anyway, apart from wondering how despite all the solicitors' regulations that money sat in an account somewhere for 33 years, that cheered me up. What trivial things have cheered you up?

The sun is shining this morning.

Trivial, trivial? That's pretty major news given the winter we're emerging from! 😉

Trivial is more like removing the thin part of the all-seasons duvet and getting it washed and drying on the line this morning.

Hmm, not sure that being able to dry things outdoors again is terribly trivial either, on reflection.
