Procrastination really annoys me at times.
At home, we're deliberating getting two single beds for the (hopefully) up and coming of us fostering our two graandaughters.
Fark me, we've measured the room, different sized beds and possible position combinations to get the best room for them....but its ALL a moot point until we physically measure EXACTLY how wide the frame of the chosen beds are. It's critical to the favoured choice.
I've said all morning so far, until we go and physically do that, it's all just talk. JFDI, just firkin do it, let's get to the shop, measure and stop procratinating..please (insert crying emoji)

And now, my wife has roped in the wider family who are now giving opinions....which while w'll meaning....are still irrelevant until we actually measure the proposed bed. ( Inset crying emoji again) arghhhhh

Just a reflection of society in general I'd say. All places have such happenings.

Agree. I was in a shop the other day and the two people in front of me were single syllable in their response to questions the staff was asking, no politeness, no character, just a misery of a minimalist answer, almost like it was too much trouble to even bring themselves to actually speak.

I remember standing there thinking, WTF is wrong with you people ?

My heart bleeds for you.

Think you need a hair tearing emoji.

I'm with you!

An old and wise boss once told me about carrying people with you and giving them time to catch up with you.

Found a DJI mavic drone under a tree near bank mill house. One of the propellers is broken and it’s a little wet but I’m sure the repairs would cost less than a replacement. If it’s yours contact me and arrange a time to pick it up. (I’ll be asking you to bring the remote as evidence it’s yours as they are very expensive bit of kit and don’t want to give it to an opportunist)

The above was found on the local Facebook gossip, lost/found cats, nail bars/hairdressers, takeaways etc etc stuff. Look at the size of that thing!! The thing was found after falling out the sky, by probably a few hundred feet! Imagine that object falling onto your car while driving it, or even worse on you head while out walking! It must have a wingspan of 5 feet and weight a couple of stones. In my opinion, they should only be flown by professionals while doing search and rescue stuff!!

It almost certainly wasn't found "after falling out of the sky by probably a few hundred feet". They are al designed to drop gently if they go out of range of the controller.

It was found "under a tree", and the damage was almost certainly caused by it hitting said tree.

Though I would agree that ones of that size & weight should only be flown by professionals.

So if they 'drop gently' why was it damaged so much? I can't see how such a weight could float down, without causing damage to whatever or whoever it hits. If they malfunction while up in the air how does the 'drop gently' bit kick in? If the engine cuts out surely their weight will make them drop at speed, rather than float down.

They don't drop slowly, they drop slower than the same weight without the four rotors. The rotor blades should windmill without power.

Oh, if the motor cuts out, then that is another matter, though they will still fall relatively slowly, with the rotors freewheeling, as Classic33 said.

That damage was probably mostly caused by it colliding with the tree.

I won't have it that those drone things aren't dangerous. My dad used to fly model glider planes, launched off the top of hills, but they were made out of balsa wood and tissue paper hardened with a light resin coating and powered by an elastic band and propeller, probably weighing a pound in weight at most. I hope those who fly those drones have good insurance, to cover inflicted by the owner injury to others! I'd like to think that if one fell on me or my car, the one who owns the drone will have enough insurance to significantly compensate me. Maybe all these drones should have serial numbers/registration numbers linked to their owner, in case one falls causing damage so the owner can be traced, allowing the victim to make a claim against them.
