Not so much annoying, but concerned that it's actually happening.
Prompted by a recent visit to our local hostelry where there were wee dogs standing / sitting on two separate tables;
So, dogs on tables in bars, cafes, restaurants etc., i.e., tables folk have to eat & drink off.
What's the general opinion - ?
My only disagreement with you, I don’t consider this a Trivial thing . Definitely an establishment on my do not visit list .

People who talk to themselves while they work.

What's even worse? While talking to themselves, they occasionally talk to you so you have to be on alert whenever they're talking. Which is all the time.

But why do they do this? It's either intense concentration (seems doubtful) or they want to show that they are doing at least something.

I talk to myself all the time at work, at our place it's the only way to get an intelligent conversation.

You'd just love the Kitty Cafe chain in the Midlands then!

Utterly minging, should not be permitted, they'll soon knock it on the head if it leads to someone being made ill from food purchased there caused by such behaviour

I have a similar concern at parents placing children inside shopping trolleys. Someone is going to use that next and put food/clothing in there, unaware that some kid’s manky shoes have spread goodness-knows-what in there.

I imagine trolleys, baskets and bags for life all get contaminated with food debris such as raw meat/fish juices, and an associated plethora of bacterial/fungal growth. Many ingredients don't come from the cleanest of origins anyway, hence peeling, washing or cooking your food before eating.

A shame then, if an establishment then serves your food and drink on tables soiled by dog anus!

This is one of several reasons that I like the "Scan and Shop" things in Tesco - as the food goes straight from the shelf to my bag then the bottom of the trolley never comes into contact with it - or the packaging

Everything more or less is wrapped up these days.
Worse is people who talk for more than a couple of minutes about their kids or grandkids. Beyond the basics, they are fine etc, doing well its incredibly draining to listen to. No friend or work colleague is interested.

I saw this in the cafeteria of one of our ferries. The girl in charge was over immediately and told the woman owner to remove it from the table. The owner was a bit lippy and argued as well as saying she would report the girl to the management before she left the cafeteria in a rage.
I gave the girl my business card and told her if there was any comeback I happened to be friendly with the general manager and I would back her up if required. Never heard any comeback.

Stuff may be wrapped up - but once you get it home you put it in the fridge/cupboard along with other things - some of which are open

so any bugs (etc) is not in your fridge or cupboard
