I bought these supposed baby potatoes the other day. I've just opened them to find they aren't baby sized at all, more fully grown 'adult' I'd say! 🧐

I dunno, they're hardly baking spuds, and there's even a picture showing you need to cut them up!

The last time I bought their baby potatoes they were about the size of a cherry tomato. They also sell some potatoes slightly larger than the baby ones, who's name i can't remember, but even they are smaller than the ones in my photo! Good point about the pic' of them cut up. Why, if they're 'baby' sized, would they need to be cut in half I ask? 🤔 I've had to cut the spuds in my pics into quarters, even sixths to make them the desired size for the slow cooker casserole I'm making. That's not a great hardship, but I did want small round potatoes, not small cubes of potato! 🧐

You can see what you're getting though, with the clear panel there.

They certainly aren't regular sized normal spuds, but I'd agree a bit big for"baby" potatoes. Something like Charlotte potatoes us what you want.

I'm less annoyed by potatoes being too small, or not small enough, at least you could cut them in half and make them the size you want..

My beef is with the fact that it's so difficult to find a decent sized baking potato! The shop offerings are a pathetic size!

If you can have individual ones then you can find some decent ones.
The prepackaged ones aren’t much bigger than those baby potatoes.

Might be better off in a greengrocers instead of a supermarket, if there‘s one nearby. Our local one has plenty. Sometimes too big!

I looked at some more of those baby potatoes this afternoon. The packet I picked up had the ones in the size you'd say was acceptable for them to be called baby potatoes. They were about half the size of the ones in my previous photos. Ok, maybe some of them in that packet were still too big, but it's certainly better than them all being too big!! 🧐

"Hello, is that trading standards"? 🧐

"Yes, it is".

"Oh hello, I'd like to report some very big potatoes being sold by Tesco, under the name of baby potatoes! The thing is these potatoes are more like fully grown, not baby size at all! I believe that the public are being conned"!!! 🧐

Ah, you're the fifth one to report this sir! We've already launched a thorough investigation"!!

"Ok, that's satisfying to hear. Thank you very much and goodbye"! 🧐

Bin men who leave the wheelie bin either in the middle of the footpath, or in the middle of the driveway, surely it can't take that much effort to put it somewhere safe/sensible
