When a YouTube video is about to finish, it hasn't finished yet as there are still some important/good things to watch, but they get obscured by the rectangles for "what shall I view next". Highly annoying.

The content creator has to get you to watch another video before the current one has finished. Short attention spans or what!
On newer videos they can include a section at the end of the video after the actual content finishes in which the 'view next' boxes can be displayed. The problem comes with older videos that don't factor that in...

It is a station for trains, just like a bus station is a station for buses. You wouldn't think of calling that a "road station", so why would the other be a "railway station". The railway is the means by which the trains get to and from the train station IMO.
The difference being that roads are used by various different passenger-carrying vehicles, so "bus station" helpfully tells you that it's not for taxis, minicabs, Ubers, etc.

A railway station of necessity implies that trains are what you will find there.

Had an argument with my old boss about this many years ago

His concept was that Station automatically means somewhere that you go to get a train - bus stations have to specify because the default is train

I think I might have referred to that as "rubbish" and specifying makes it clear what you mean

In the past I think that was so - 'Station' invariably referred to a railway station - a point of access to the railway system, and were often simply known by name - Paddington, Euston, New Street, Waverley for example. Most large towns had a series of 'stations' along the line. Historically bus and coach stations came later, and usually only one, or one of each, per town, otherwise buses stopped at bus 'stops'.

There I was heading towards the disabled toilet in Tesco 2 hours ago when a brat overtook me and dived in there beating me to it! Yes, brats do those sort of things because they haven't been fully taught manners yet, but this was done under the watch of brat's father! He actually stood there and saw his brat overtake me to get there before me! The brat wasn't even disabled and if he was it certainly wasn't a mobility disability! How bad mannered was that eh! I'm blaming the father more than the brat.

Not all disabilities are visible, that's the reason why the sunflower lanyard was introduced.

Or watching live. Tend to PVR all commercial channel programs I want to watch and save upto a quarter of each hour in skipping the ads.
That is what was getting at. I find that sometimes there is nearer 20 minutes of ads and trailers per hour.

On top of that, many shows also do "Coming up..." to try to persuade viewers to stick around, and "What you saw before the ads..." to capture viewers arriving from other channels mid-broadcast.

Often, an hour long show can be cut down to around 30 minutes.

My sister takes this a bit too far and fast forwards through the 'boring bits' as well so that hour becomes a rushed 15 minutes!
