Idiots who want me to accept their 'friends request' on Facebook. I rarely post on there and in the past I didn't post much, so what are they after?! I don't know most who send a 'friends request' and when I have accepted their request they never post a message to me or anything! What the feck are they after and what are they up to I ask?! 🧐

We have had Mrs. C's best friend and her husband staying the last two days. Every few seconds their mobile phones "ding a ling" in unison. It is driving me round the twist!

I assume this is what happens when people give a thumbs up on Facebook or someone shares a selfie or something.

Really glad I have never joined any of these Facebook / twitter type things.

I hate it when I'm talking to someone (struggling to sometimes due to my speech problem and background noise) and their phone goes/rings and they answer it and instead of saying to the caller "can you call me back, I'm busy" they ignore me and start yacking to the one on their phone!!!! :ninja:I sometimes fancy grabbing their phone out their hand and press the end the call button!!

You can set most of these things to give you notifications (with or without sound), but there is no need to do so. I have hardly anything giving sound notifications, though I do get silent notifications from a few apps I have decided I want them from.

I'm not usually looking at my phone at that sort of time, and if they were at parties, they would be unlikely to hear any tones as texts arrive.
Plus the network is often log-jammed with messages at that time and they get delayed. Does that still happen? Certainly used to on NYE

I always think they're like me and just have a few friends (about 5) I send texts to every now and then. I forget that some must send and receive 50 plus messages a day. I suppose they don't check all their many messages, mine being one of them.

I have friends and family who are totally unreliable in terms of replying to emails/texts/missed calls. They don't mean anything by it, they are just not carrying a phone about 24/7 or checking their emails regularly.

My sister in Devon doesn't have a phone signal at home. Most people can call her using wifi calling but my phone company (giffgaff) doesn't provide that facility yet.

Or like my wife who always has her phone on silent without vibration so she has no clue anyone it's trying to reach her.

Your phone company has nothing to do with the WiFi calling it's your sister's?

Does if he's using VoIP ie wattapp from a 4g mobile signal.
