They sell what people buy. I don't think anywhere that has sold them has stopped, so why pick Aldi particularly?
And potentially towards the other end of the market John Lewis have 24 different ones although four are bio fuel ones at £1599 each.

I still think pumping heat into an open outdoor area is an obvious no-no. If you heat your home for an hour you can use that heat for hours before it escapes into the atmosphere. Heating a patio for an hour is just an hour!
As for biofuels... Same argument - hours vs hour.
If you want to sit outside in cool conditions, wear more clothes!
I completely agree, and have never even considered buying a patio heater.
But they aren't illegal, and not everybody feels that way, so there is a market for them. Not many shops (particularly the large ones) will stop selling things that are legal and make them a decent profit.
I think it is time to make them illegal!
Mind you, it would be impossible to stop poeple just using (for example) a fan heater instead.
I think the climate is going to have to get catastrophically bad before many people are willing to change their behaviour. 😢
While most of us are being responsible about reducing emissions, why do organisers of sporting events think it appropriate to fire up those bloody flame throwers at every opportunity?
In fact the whole ludicrously over the top hype surrounding sporting events these days pisses me off.

I imagine lots of people will also be considering the size of their annual Christmas light extravaganza this year. How much does it cost to run some of the more bonkers Christmas light shows?

Someone recently was telling us about the Commonwealth Games opener which apparently featured a large metal bull being moved with levers and other trappings.
Elder Son, who has developed a dry and somewhat cynical sense of humour*, listened to the description, and then said: "So basically you're telling me the main part of the ceremony was that people from all around the world were shown a load of Bull?"
"Um... yes."
"Was that a political statement, do you think?"
*I can't imagine where he got that from.
Sodding smoke alarms that wait until 3:45 am to tell you their battery needs replacing.
